Benefits
This simplified description of the Nashville Wire Products benefit package is provided to help you, as a prospective employee, evaluate the benefit program as an important portion of your compensation. This is a short summary of your benefits; it is not meant to be inclusive of all the details of your benefits package. A full description will be provided in your Summary Plan Description at the time benefits are effective.
HEALTH INSURANCE
NWP offers a major medical plan for all full time employees. The plan is a PPO plan and some of the features are as follows:
- Office visit co-pays
- Deductible arrangement for all charges not falling under co-pay structure
- $1,000,000 lifetime maximum
- 80/20 Coinsurance
- Out-of-Pocket protection provided on calendar year basis
- Preventive/Wellness benefits available following 1 year enrollment in plan
- Prescription Card
- Vision Care Benefits
DENTAL COVERAGE
Nashville Wire Products offers a traditional "indemnity" type of dental program. This plan allows you to visit the dentist of your choice, and is completely funded by the employee.
SUPPLEMENTAL CANCER INSURANCE
This supplement is offered as an addition to the cancer coverage provided in your health plan. The plan would make payments directly to the employee regardless of other coverage in force. Any other group or individual coverage you may carry does not reduce payments.
SUPPLEMENTAL INTENSIVE CARE COVERAGE
This supplement is offered as an addition to the ICU coverage provided in your health plan. The plan would make payments directly to the employee regardless of other coverage in force. Any other group or individual coverage you may carry does not reduce payments.
SHORT TERM DISABILITY
This is a benefit paid 100% by NWP and offers salary continuation to employees who are totally unable to perform any function of their job. Benefits are based on length of service with the company. The plan pays a percentage of base pay beginning on the eighth day of continuous disability.
LONG TERM DISABILITY
Also a company paid disability plan which offers paid salary continuation during periods of total disability. You must be continuously disabled six (6) months to be eligible for this benefit. LTD benefits will equal a percentage of base earnings up to a maximum of $5,000.00 per month.
LIFE INSURANCE (100% paid by Nashville Wire)
All employees who have worked full-time for sixty (60) continuous days will automatically be enrolled in the company paid life insurance plan the first of the month following your sixty (60) days of employment. Plan highlights are as follows:
- Death Benefit: Illness = 1 X Annual Salary
- Death Benefit: Accident = 2 X Annual Salary
- Maximum Benefit Payable $500,000.00
LIFE INSURANCE (100% paid by employee)
Nashville Wire Products also makes a Voluntary Whole Life Insurance plan available to full time employees. Coverage and premium is offered on an individual basis yet employee receives advantages of a group plan. This voluntary life plan is offered through Boston Mutual.
HEALTH/WELLNESS FAIR
Employees have the opportunity to participate in an annual health/wellness fair. The fair is complimentary and conducted on-site. Participants in complete health fair will receive preventive/wellness benefits under the medical plan for any dependent enrolled in the health plan.
